Ground Breaking Ceremony

Today was a successful day. We gathered at the Madoc Baptist Church property at 4:00 p.m. to hear a few words from Pastor Harry and Todd Smith our MPP. The congregation and visitors entered the property where what will eventually be the front doors into the building. Pastor Harry read a text from scripture and prayed for what is to come. Pictures were taken of Todd Smith (MPP), Tom Deline (Mayor), Jean Scott (Longest attending member of MBC), Andy Logan (Building chair), and Pastor Harry doing the ceremonial sod turning.

From there we left the property and headed to the Madoc Kiwanis Centre where we met for a celebration dinner. We were blessed by a dramatic presentation from our youth, musical enjoyment from Our Journey Calls and words of encouragement from former pastor, Gord Belyea. All in all it was a wonderful evening where the people and supporters of Madoc Baptist Church enjoyed fellowship with each other rejoicing what God has done and what he is going to do.
